Corigan's 30 gallon Moliwe Reject Tank Journal
I might as well post some info on this tank and start a journal. It's just another grow out tank with a ton of species. Right now it is going through the "new tank syndrome," so I have plenty of fast growers in there as you can see by the pictures. The equipment I have on the tank is as follows:
Eheim 2213 Plant Guild Reactor Aquaclear 201 Powerhead DIY Co2 Aquamedic Bubble Counter 200w Tronic Heater Malaysian Driftwood Flourite and Tahitian Moon Sand substrate (I need to get another bag of moonsand and add to it). 1 x 96w Coralife 6700k PC strip 1 x 15w T8 for dusk/dawn effects with DIY White LED moonlighting built in I run an airstone at night and also have a battery powered airpump on the tank for power failures. Almost all the fish in the aquarium came over from my 55g since my moliwe's spawn there and get aggressive towards other bottom feeders. This tank is now fully stocked, been setup for about a month or so, never saw any ammonia nor nitrite and added slowly. It now inhabits: 6 Red Fin African Barbs 1 Candy Stripe Goby 2 Emerald Green Brochis Cory's 3 otto's 1 Rubberlip Pleco 7 Serpae Tetras 1 SAE I added five amano's, never been able to count more than 2, but the fish don't bother them amazing enough. I thought the goby would eat them, but I've seen the goby/amano head to head with food inbetween and the goby gave way for the amano to snatch it up. Plants (Give or take a few species, and pardon the spelling errors, heh): Ludwigia Repens Luwdigia Ovalis Ludwigia Repens x Arcuata Micro Chain Sword Lilaeopsis brasiliensis Rotala Indica Anarcharis Myrio Mattagrosse Tropic Sunset Hygro Hygro Difformis Red Temple Crypt Petchii Crypt Pygmae Crypt Parva Crypt Ponderfolia A. nana A. heterophylia A. Hastafolia Willow Moss Bolbitis heudelotti Bolbitis Heteroclita Cabomba Carolina Frogbit Moss Ball E. Stellata Things are growing like crazy, the plants pearl nightly. I left this one open top. I haven't trimmed anything back till I know the bio-filter is good and inplace. So yet another farm tank, still too much of a collector to be willing to go the distance to only collecting a few plants. Matt
