I had to change the avatar. Saw a guy with more posts who had the same picture. Then I changed it to something else, but was told the new avatar "might offend some people". Whatever. I liked it.
So now I have this. Not my kid, but I love his enthusiasm.

Yes.
This is what was: And this is what is: The trick was to keep the aquarium in a dark cold storage unit and to fertilize with asbestos dust and a little bit of mouse droppings. In all seriousness, I just moved from Colorado to Washington and had to break it down. But it's up now. We'll see if I can coax a ground cover out of the substrate this time. Thanks for digging up this thread though!

I donated most of my plants to the LFS before I moved. Took some stems of the aromatica and cabomba with some riccia and planted/floated them in glass vases and put them by the kitchen window for my old roommates. I'm sure they've destructed by now.
