Thanx!

It's supported by the frame on an iron stand. It's fine and made to be this way. The prior tank I purchsed (w/ the stand et al) at a yard sale and used it for ~11 yrs before it sprung a leak on a vertical seam...instead of trying to fix it...I just went out and bought this tank....that was ~5 years ago now.

Agreed, fishman. I've grown to really like the novelty of it myself. My first instinct was to remove it and get it planted in the substrate, but I realized soon enough that that was a futile effort. It actually roots down into the foam. If I remove the foam from the housing, UG roots are grown into the middle area where the water passes through...

Received some more "Wonder Gro" tabs as stated before. Placed a lot (probably ~40-50) 1/4's in yesterday and took some pix of the areas that still need to grow in. Expecting to take some more pix and do a comparison.

wow, really nice tank! When your ready to trim the tank, my 20 is looking for a foreground more interesting than hc. I think the ug could make it up here from TN.

I love all that Ug on the pre-filter sponge. did you put some there to grow, or did it just get stuck to it one day and you just let it do it's thing?
