Okay, here are some pics. See how overgrown the blyxa is?










Pretty soon I'll be pulling out the blyxa and just letting the UG carpet up for a while. After that, I'll start some kind of real aquascape...

OMG
that blyxa is huge!! you weren't kidding. and the UG has filled in nicely.
that was all from the OD of excel? wow. im gonna try some. it looks awesome!

when you rescape are you taking out all the blyxa and leaving the ug to fill in everything?

Mostly everything. I'm going to just remove the blyxa so that the UG has more lighted area to carpet. I'm going to leave that back right corner mostly empty to plant some stem plants like rotala and l. arcuata.

While I can't say that the extreme blyxa growth is solely the product of the Excel overdosing, because I also cranked up the CO2 making the drop checker go neon yellow, I'm pretty sure the Excel was a huge part of it.
