oh, goodness.

i love cherry barbs so much. i had 4 of them in my 10g tank and they are such happy and inquisitive little fish. and so pretty when they're colored up.

your layout looks much less anatomically correct now. great rock placement. looking forward to seeing your plants grow in!

Haha, if that wasn't a joke, it should be.

I like this new scape... it reminds me of an anticline (did some mapping of an anticline in mexico... so I like anticlines )

Lol. I meant it as it should be a joke b/c he said you should use hairgrass to cover the questionable rock formation...

Just think about it for a bit.

Well if the fan blade sticks and is difficult to turn then there's probably an issue with bearings or lubrication, but if the fan still spins easily if you push it then the motor probably overheated and the thermal fuse blew to prevent it from catching fire

Your cherry barbs look phenomenal! One of the best fish I've ever kept and thinking to keep them again.

update :

the chiller fan finally gave up yesterday and i changed it with a 12v dc motor from my car a/c fan. it work great now ! abit noisy but hey .. as long my fishes and plants are happy ...

the glosso is growing really well but ... they are shooting for the sky ! usually in this case, it was the light is the culprit right ..now the total lighting is 220w .. still not enough ?

runners should start appearing soon.

I have heard that you are supposed to trim and replant the tops.

when it grows over 3 nodes (the spot where the leaves grow from) tall then yes, you can trim it, plant 2 nodes under the soil and 1 above for it to spread faster. these may grow up or to the side, depending on how low the uppermost node is and the lighting.
