That's a nice, rimless 10 gallon you got there... and you got it at your LFS? How much did it cost?

I love what you have so far!

You lucky dog. I have been searching high and low for a nice rimless 10 gallon, and so far have yet to find one. I mean, I know I can have one ordered and delivered, but definitely not for $20. That's for damn sure.

those tanks are in every LFS around here. I think they are made by jebo because their warehouse is near me and I saw them there. it has round corners in the front but I have used them with the back being the front. I think they look better that way. I think you will need more light once you fill it with water but it is worth a try.

Plan to add some Blyxa japonica between the rock.
Anyone have suggestion on stem plant I can add behind the rock?

Rotala Rotundifolia would add some nice color behind the rock, and it's relatively easy to grow
Tanks looks great BTW

Augus,

You definitely need another light. This 27 watt WalMart wonder is useless for what you are trying to do.

Keep in mind that the HC that you just got was grown under ultra strong light. 120 watts only 2 inches above the plant.

The Blyxa is not as hungry for light as the HC but still needs decent lights. In Aquasoil it will do great.

1) HOB filter + CO2 = bad idea due to outgassing of CO2.
2) What would light the tank well is to find a similar fixture at Target, except it's made of metal. Then retrofit a 70W MH into it. With pressurized CO2 & correct dosing, you'll have a HC carpet in no time.

I cook my HC. I cover the tank air tight, did not know suppose to make some hole for gas circulation exchange.
There are still some every small amount of green leave alive. Hope the will recover, but now it going to take a long time before I get a carpet.

I will try to get more light for it.
The extra small patch you told me to have it float on the tank, I gave it a way to coworker
Might have to buy more from you.
Need to get some money into paypal, ran out.
