75gal update

I've never posted up about my 75gal really so I thought I'd share some photos from today after I got a chance to clean it some. Not much goin on in there. But I have done some rescaping since I got the FH outta there.
(nice to be ble to keep plants in the ground) my convict sill gives some hassel but shes not too bad she sticks to her spot.
Other occupants living in the tank are the arowana, SH, Ornate bichir(never see him) and a pleco.

the first 2 pics are under 55w lighting

This shot is with the full 220w fixture

Love that arowana, what a gorgeous fish! I like the simplicity of your layout too, very elegant and natural feeling.

Nahh not at all. he loves swimmin thru and resting in the plants. thats one of the reasons I have to keep plants simple in this tank. There are places where diff fish will not allow me to plant. In the next 6mo or so I hope to be upgrading to a 240gal+ that will give the arow much more room to play in. And me more room to plant in.

I was unaware that folks kept arowana as aquarium fish, but looking at yours, I can surely see why one would want to. The fish looks absolutely amazing!

Nice! How are you diffusing CO2?

Oh, and one more question.
I hope my MS Paint job describes it.

it looks like a really really clear pipe. kind of like the clear riser pipes for undergravel filters. just my guess though.

No CO2 in this tank. Its an expensive ass Excel tank. lol

As for that clear thing on the right side. That is simply my intake tube for my XP3. I'm using 3/4" acrylic tubing (the same stuff I make my drop checkers out of) some of the tubing that the xp comes with that was cut from the main hoses. And the strainer. Its a pretty simple mod and looks much better then the erector set tubes that come with the XP's. I will post a thread on how to do this yourself in a few days. I have to cut some more tubing.
