It looks like it is growing in fast. Looks nice and healthy. Do you have any plans for a foreground yet?

Clearing just a little space in the middle front for some low growers would change the look pretty fast.

More pics.

I can't believe how well CO2 and lighting works...7 days and I'm already trimming plants, this is a fun hobby!

So I redid my plants a bit. I ordered some more colorful plants and decided to make more of a beach area in the front of the tank. Here's the latest pics.

Mini update. 12 days after planting my tank and some plant replacement 2 days ago, along with 3 trimmings, heres the state of the tank:

It's coming a long. I still can't believe how fast these plants grow.

Ed - next time you have an hour to two to kill (and sooner than later), you're gonna need to break up those foreground "bunches" and plant individual snippets for the plants can get sufficient light and room to grow. I'm thinking the plants are a hairgrass and glosso. For the glosso, you really want to break them up into individual plants (e.g. 1/4" a piece) and try to keep the individual plantlets down (don't get discouraged...many will be floating by the next morning).

I didn't do it when I first got a plant similar to the hairgrass, and the plants never did start to thrive and eventually died off.

Good progress. Keep at it!
Brian.

Thanks for the comments and info guys. BSS, I'll try what you mentioned on my next scape. I trimmed a lot today and did a big water change. I'll try to post more pics of the new scape soon.

Not much different...trimmed a few days ago and did a water change, here's a pic from a few days ago...unfortunately I seem to have a bacteria bloom, so I'm fighting that right now.

Thanks for the compliments! Which ones are the rysomes? I'm still not familiar with the names of many of the plants.

Some pics after today's pruning...also I've changed my parameters a bit in the last week. I lowered my CO2 a bit and put it on a timer to shut off at night. While the CO2 is shut off an airstone kicks on. The plants and fish seem much happier now.

I'm also uploading a bunch of pics to my ofoto album, I'll post the link when it's done.
