Sweet Violet's 29 Gallon Planted Tank ( warning )

I've been keeping fish on and off since I was a wee one. I have had this tank set up for about 4 years. I was too embarrassed to take a before photo with all of the "plastic" ~gasp~ in it. I am now selling these on e-bay (all credit for this idea goes to my very wise son) ; so I can never be tempted to use them again.

I decided to move the fish into the 10 gallon, while I worked on the preparing this tank for them. I went out back and found some rocks and tested them with vinegar (just to be sure) and this is what I came up with.

I like it so far.

That light looks awefully blue to grow plants, what is it?

I bought a new ballast & OD the bulbs and after a few days some plants started to appear from no-where. I didn't know I had any of these guys left. Looks like a couple of Apons. Hadn't seen them for at least 6 months. I tossed them into the 10 gallon with the fish. My Java moss and Wisteria arrived and I placed them into the tank. (The Crypt Wendtii ? I had left from a year was placed in there as well.

That was before everything settled and I figured the camera out a bit. I'm working on it.

Oh boy... I thought this is going to be fun~ This is my very first actual attempt at planting an aquarium... Why did I have to get baby tears as my first stem plant to do this? Oh well... What a mess I made.

Then I attempted to put some of the java moss on a rock... that went a lot better. Did I get it thin/thick enough?
