Cherry Shrimp Coloring

Are all cherry shrimp red? I bought some from my friend who picked them up from a local hobbyist. I of course have some deep red shrimp with berried females in there...but to my surprise, a lot of the shrimp are almost clear! They look nearly identical to cherry shrimp, but they're clear! Is this just our friend Charles Darwin at work, or is there some other type of shrimp involved here? I'll see if I can snap a few pictures...

males generally tend to be more lightly colored than the females in my experience.

Mine is the opposite, the females are the darker reds, and they get redder the older they get. The largest females often have a salmon-colored stripe down their backs. My own little theory is that these are the "domiant" females.

male are more lightly colored than females means they have less color than females.
So you acually are agreeing with him lauralee.

And I am curious what dominant behavior have you noticed from striped cherry shrimp
