Favorite filter for a 10gal shrimp tank?

OK, I'm gonna start back up my 10gal shrimp colony in a few weeks, this time at work.

I could stick with the same old Whisper I've had for years, but I'm thinking now would be a good time to upgrade the filter on this tank. I'm strongly leaning towards a canister filter, but having trouble figuring out which one would be best; I need one that won't blow all my mosses and shrimp all over the tank.

This tank is probably going to be low light and mostly mosses, perhaps also a few ferns and crypts for background plants.

So what's your favorite filter for a 10gal shrimp colony, and why?

I'd go with the 2213 Classic,SC the basket and buy some lattice screens.

i also have a whisper on my 10gal rcs tank with pantyhose over the intake..the pantyhose keeps the filter clean and it is easy to siphon the debreas off the pantyhose

I use cheap chinese-made 25 gph mini-HOBs that are labeled CAP-90. They cost me 7-8 dollars, and the intake has nice small slits that pose no danger to shrimplets. I use two for delicate 10G's, one with a deep intake, the other close to surface. They cause minimal surface agitation. Gentle even flow, no dead spots. Very silent.

I know similar filters are available in the US market. Likely, the original versions of these.

I have an AquaClear 30 on my 10 gallon tank. It works great, plus you can buy a 3-pack of filter sponge and use 1 for a pre-filter

Make sure to do a journal of this 10 gallon

I'm a bit worried that an Eheim 2213 would be too much flow?

Anyone tried the Hydor Prime canister line?

I recommend power filters for tanks small as a 10g. I have sponge filters running on my shrimp tanks right now but if you were to put more into the tank then I'd suggest purchasing an Aqua Clear 30 which is what I have on my 20g.
