no, the crystals are caridina , and the cherries are neocaridina. caridina or neocaridina will only breed with the similar. they won't breed across species.

They USUALLY won't The chance is like one in 10,000,000 but Ibn had it happen in his tank

I wouldn't worry about it though thought you would find it interesting.

Its a shrimp tank, any inert substrate will work fine with you. Make sure it is small though!

well, i found out my ph isn't exactly 6 out of the tap. it is at first, but my dad puts iron out in the softener, which is acidic i found out. The real ph is around 6.6 if left out for a few days. I'm sure I need to let the water sit out for water changes now, because if it isn't added there is too much iron in the water. This ph would still be good for an inert substrate though right?
