Preliminary Pics- New Shrimp Farm 4-20-08

started with about 30 RCS(3 different breeders)

Filtration: Aquaclear 30, Whisper In-tank 10
Light: 20W
CO2: NONE
Ferts: NONE
PLants: Java moss, marsilea minuta, Jungle Val, downoi
Left side: 3 rocks with java moss tied around it
Center: Jungle val in the back, Driftwood with java moss around it
Right side: testing Marseilea minuta, downoi.

I rearraged some of the plants. on the Right side I now have 3 rocks tied with java moss, like the left side. Jungle val is now behind the driftwood.

Filter intakes are covered with sponge then covered with java moss (tied with fishing line)

I think I will tie down some more java moss to fully cover the intake tube on the Aquaclear and on the Whisper, so all you see is java moss.

looks neat , how much flow are you getting this way >?? and your sponge is it one you bought, or made ,?? just wondering , I am doing the same, well not the moss, yet ..hehe, thinking about it !! TELL ME more !! and do you know where I can fins some cheaper red cherrys, I have 2 breeds and I want to get another breed b4 I start selling them, but omg prices are going up on what I have seen !! .. thanxs for any help !! ~ O, ps, what is your sand substrate ??? thanxs!!

Flow is great in the tank. I was worried it was too much. On the left, the intake tub is covered by a sponge. the sponge is an Aquaclear 50 sponge. then I tied the moss around it. I'm going to tie moss around the length of the tubing though. On the right is another filter, I did the same thing.

Where are you located? I maybe switching my tank over to a Crystal Red Shrimp tank.. I may have some Cherry's for sale.
