West Wall... A work in progress.

Hello All,

I have been working on finishing the West wall of my new shrimp room and have it just about completed and thought I'd share it with you.

These are all 20 long or 10 gallon and I am set up this way for general breeding as well as having the 10 gallons for trial and selective breeding tanks.

The East wall will be 40 breeders and 55 gallon tanks for larger breeding populations on some of my favorite species. Waiting on racks and tanks yet....

Then it's the South wall...

Cheers, Bill

I warned you of getting addicted too fast

So how long until you're kicked out of the house?

Seriously, very nice job, Is this the same room that orriginally had those tank racks? If so its changed a good deal!

I moved out of the house (kicked out) a couple months back and have been slowly getting this room together Andrew. I own several rental cabins and have converted one to a shrimp farm....

Ahhhhhhh yes the warning...from many here...yep I am thoroughly and firmly hooked. But having fun!

Dr.Tran,

No real wallet dent as the hobby is paying it's way as I go. I am in the red a tad with the new tanks and a recent shrimp purchase, but should even out with my next few sales. Also I trade for much of my original stock.

Cheers, Bill

Rental cabins for shrimp farming... And my guidance councilor thinks I'm crazy with two tanks :hihi little does he know.

How much is one of them to rent

Well its good to have another person hooked in the hobby with room to do stuff. I'm currently landlocked you could say. Might convince the parents into letting me set up a 10g tank rack over the summer, time will tell. (the last time I thought I was going to have a rack soon was almost a year ago )

Keep the tanks simple and productive and you'll be rolling in the green soon. (Yeah right, so who pockets money from this hobby?)

Keep them pictures coming along.

You got that right...more money = more hobby

The 1 room cabins rent for 100.00 per month, but I use several for storage as I also have houses I rent out. 1 room cabins with a communal shower/bathroom are not in big demand these days like when they were built for gold miners in the early 1900s.

Cheers, Bill

Looking good Bill

Let us know when the south wall is done. Are you also going to work on the north and east walls?

You never know, some colleges have sent me fliers from your area, and a place with cheap rent and a cement floor with no fish tank restrictions?

lol,

It is a cool project though.
