Yes some are imported and others are simply traded for or purchased from other hobbyists. I have really fallen for the Sulawesi Shrimp and am working hard to get a breeding colony of Cardinals going. So far they keep like any Dwarf Shrimp as long as the temp and PH are kept high, water clean...

I have learned that many breeders will trade stock if you have some good stuff even if they are not selling and this has opened the door to some nice shrimp and new friends....
