the higher the grade, the more thin it is, and crisp. gold grade from a good company will just melt in your mouth... i think it has nothing to do with how much salt is in it, but raither the time/season it was harvests, maybe the parts it was used, kind of like tea, the best tea always comes from the tip, the new growth...

i use the silver grade for my catering company...but then agian that might be why the company is considered a high class resturant.
anyways the hardness should increase with the salt content because hardness is just chemicals/stuff parts per water right? i know if i add aquarium salt it increases my hardness by a bunch that's why i was thinking of testing it like that. i just dont know of the actual nori would make the readings higher. i guess i'll try it out with my cherry shrimps first and see what happens. then afterwards test out with more expensive shrimp |

oh, i see, i think we should make a seaweed based shrimp food, and test it, i do have a 10 that only has a betta and 3 cories atm, did had a doz. of danio in it, but only 2 is left and i move those to my 20l tank... long story, i guess in the near future i can put some rcs in the 10g and test out those food and see how everything goes...

i would want to try it out but since i only have 3 cherry shrimps i don't want them to die for an experiement. maybe when i get a few more i'll experiment with them directly. until then i'm gonna run a few tests to see if there's any salt content in the stuff i use...then i'll post it up with pictures so people can look for the stuff i use if anything
