Default Colorless Cherries and Breeding

I bought 35 RCS a few month back and between switching tanks and other things I lost all but about 7. Now I have babies and berried shrimp......thing is, the remaining 7 are 2 nice bright red cherries and 5 pretty colorless ones. The babies are obviously not colored up yet, but will colorless RCS have colorful babies? Will I just end up with a highly populated clear cherry tank? Right now I have 3-4 saddled females and all are pretty colorless.

Do you mean RCS or CRS?
if you bought CRS and ended up with cherries you got rip off!

if you got cherries, don't worry...the male cherries are sometimes colorless, they will color up a bit when you have an established colony.

Its the females that look more like the cherries everyone immediately recognized while the males look more like a ghost shrimp with red speckling

I've found temperature can affect the proportion of male and female babies in Neocardia species.
so if you're getting mostly males out of a generation, try changing the temp in your tank for a few months and see how that affects the next batch of eggs and the resultant sex of the babies that hatch.

My males are always pretty colorless. If you look from far away, they have a red hue, but it's just a couple of stripes and speckles of it.

HI Bro just want to ask about your observation by changing you mean lower the temperature in order to make females? much like crocodiles laying eggs right? I'm really interested in this and would like some clarification thanks!

AWESOME SHOW.

But, back on topic: I have heard of this, but I just keep my tank unheated.

Default Colorless RCS

Red Cherry shrimp come from so many sources and some breeders tend not to remove the pale colored ones and that weakens the color even more when many are selectively breeding specimens with better color for the hobby. I would not continue breeding the weaker colored ones and attempt to acquire some from other breeders or your local fish shop. The color improvement programs today are done by experienced hobbyist and many are to be recognized for their results.
