The point is trying to get the name going first, then out of curiosity customers would check other grades, and that's where the money is. Weird and unusual news travel fast!
This strategy is very common in marketing. Like some Casino here in the US would pay ridiculously high for weird stuff to get media attention such as ad space on the woman's forehead.

you see? the more you and I debate, the more others talk about it, their website would get more hits!

my 2 cents

if you check his feedback you can see the highest price paid was 46.00 for his shrimp, trust me there are people out there who would pay that just to say they got one of those. Like the idiot who bought the 2000.00 french fry a few months ago.

It's worth what you are willing to payfor it. To me it is worth $25 and the other $2975 goes towards housing, car payments, gas, food ....

Hey CmLaracy, this is kinda off topic but how do you get to 'customize' your "symbol"...yo know that goes under your name. EX: mine is algae grower, and yours is "75P FTW!" Do you have to post a certain amount of times?...or what?

You support the forum. 10 dollars a year gets you a lot of nice things. But also, I think it is well worth the wealth of info I have gotten from here.

Believe it or not, people do buy CRS for that much. They are not worth that much. Yes, hinos, mosura, and goldens are worth a ton, but even so, not 3k.

I posted a link a while back about something similar on aquabid.

The guy also has a shrimp up for bid and right now its 1.25$ but shipping is 60$ for an "antho-head" Which I have never heard that name being used before.
I forgot what forum this was, but it was on a chinese forum and people were bidding 200-500USD on a shrimp and its just ridiculous. Never in my life will I spend that much esp on 1 shrimp which can't even breed for me to get me that grade that I want.

Ya know.. in college, we exposed a bunch of fruit flies to radiation and got lots of cool color morphs, and some bred true too! I will bet some kinda hokey pokey is going on with all these 'varieties' that are being "bred".. whether its chemical or radiation or something else... anyhow it's lovely... but $3k.. no way. I think I"ll go rock hounding. I"m sure in the hill country I can find some uranium somewhere. Maybe I"ll get some polkadotted white headed cherries.. I'd like to get 3K for them too!
