Default Anyone here have luck breeding amano shrimp?

Just what the title says. I've read a few articles on breeding them and it sounds like it is quite difficult since you have to get the salt water just perfect for them to live as young and juvinile shrimp.

It isn't easy and requires many tanks and a bunch of room... There was a guy who posted here who had huge sucess, search "breeding Amano Shrimp"

Yeah I have some moss/shrimp addiction problems. At least I'm not in the red because of them, yet.

i've been trying recently with the amanos, but no luck i get to day 10-12 and the all die off by then. lucky me dont really have the problem of making saltwater since i have a saltwater tank already. my problem with breeding them is keeping them floating at the top the blackout thing just wasnt working for me.

I just took down my 1-gallon breeder and cleaned it out about an hour ago. I was making a third attempt at breeding amanos, since I only have one female and none of the pet stores around here seem to have them.
The first two times I tried with just sunlight and saltwater so that I had "greenwater," but they slowly died off a few at a time. I managed to get about a dozen to the point they were ready to start moving back to freshwater, but then screwed it up.
This last time I tried with two phytoplankton cultures and water from my saltwater tank, but it failed again. The last two times I am pretty sure that I wasn't doing it right, but this time I thought for sure I had it nailed. I am maintaining Nannochlorosis and Isochrysis (not sure if I spelled those right) cultures that I used to try to get my project off the ground, but no luck. I am still trying to figure out what I did wrong.
I haven't given up yet though. When my female berries up again, I will begin attempt number four. Until someone offers to sell me about 500 amano shrimp for about 50 bucks, I will continue trying to breed them, since they are one of the best things to happen to planted tanks.

I am an expert on algae, so ask me if you have questions. I know how to grow it though, not how to get rid of it.

I know this is a little out of date but was just wondering if you have had any luck?

Sometimes Ocean Blue gets them.

I am trying again as we speak. I am hoping to have it dialed in this time.
