Last pic is an amano, question is: which RCS, last one doesn't count for me.
I by 3rd from bottom I mean, second to last RCS picture, ![]() last RCS picture I find the plants/other rcs shrimp too distracting. All other pictures are nice, but too much frontal shots and I find the high glare of the watersurface distracting. I like the side-shot better, gives a better view of the whole shrimp and there is almost nothing but green for contrast, is a more piecefull view. I know I'm weird, but in this case too? |

The second and third from the bottom are the most decent. The rest are out of focus. You'll probably want greater depth of field so that the picture can be clear throughout. I'm still experimenting with my camera about it.
Greater depth of field = focal length + distance from object + Fstop The best picture would be the third from the bottom imo. I'm not including the amano picture because you ask for an opinion on cherry shrimps, not amano. |

Yeah i've only begun to learn how to use my cannon. And it's the powershot SD1000 which is one of the tiniest little point and shoot cameras they have. It's only a 2.5g tank so i'm sure i'll get other opportunities for shots if i keep an eye out for them.

I just got my DSLR with macro lens awhile ago and I'm trying out photoshop. You should check out photoshop or some other picture editing programs (I've heard of a few really good free ones). You can take pictures and go in and take control of some of the white balances and other stuff. Really helps out quite a bit. Your camera doesn't shoot raw footage right? Just JPGs probably. You can still adjust jpg pics a bit. Keep it up, try to catch more pictures of them in odd places or positions, makes for a snappy fascinating photo. Keep up the great work.
