75 gal tank update 11-14

Just wanted to share some pics of my 75 gal tank as it grows out from the most "recent" replanting three weeks ago. Here it is on 8-15

One week later 8-23

And here it is today in need of a prune! 8-30

Very.. very.. NICE!

Almost all the plants had doubled their size within two weeks... I find that amazing!

Setup, plants, fish, etc?

Thanks! They are growing well but still having a few issues with some stubborn algae I cant get rid of. The tank is a AGA 75 gallon,
Lighting: 4x55 watt compact AH supply with ge 9325 bulbs and 2 48" Arcadia plant bulbs OD 2x
pressurized co2 external DIY reactor on the return side of rena XP3
PLants are pretty common, rotala, hygro corymbosa, A reanecki, ludwigia repens, stargrass, dwarf sags, dwarf lobellia, hottonia palustris, E stellata"broadleaf", glosso and two different kinds of baby tears one four leaf and one is two leaf?

Co2 is kept at 30ppm and N P K added as needed. Plantex+b for micros and flourish iron for a little extra FE. Substrate is plain gravel with no additives just about two years of fish poop!

Your tank looks simply stunning - very nicly laid out and executed. The plant growth is amazing. I'd say you got this one nailed - excellent job

How much flourish Iron are you dosing. Your BL Stellata looks really red! What do you think makes it so red?

Dont fix it if it aint broke... unless you just want to be an Eheim pimp .... LOL

Your tank looks beautiful, dont get sucked into thinking that an Eheim will improve it. Thats not why you have algae.

Hey ya Buck, I know the filter isn't the reason for the algae. Not that I can figure it out but... I am pleased with my rena, works great just alittle louder then the eheim. Do you have any suggestions for me on the algae issue? It looks like green spot but is darker, almost black. Its not at all fuzzy or hairy. Its mainly on slower growing leaves like the lobelia and hygro corymbosa. I keep nitrate between 5-10 ppm, phosphate .5-1 ppm. Lights are on for 11 hours a day co2 is always 25-30 ppm. Let me know if you have any ideas please!

I have 4 SAE's and just picked up 5 Amano shrimp today. I would have gotten more but thats all they had. I havent seen them since I put them in the tank so I hope they're allright.
Urkevitz, I only dose 2 ml twice a week on the iron. My water is so hard that if I dose more then 2ml at a time it makes the water hazy for a day. KH- 18 GH-23.

Default 75 gal tank 9-05-04

Here it is today:

I still haven't given it a trimming. The stargrass is yellowing out a little. I might have to up the nitrates a bit with all the plants so big now. Still algae but it doesnt seem to be spreading anymore. Hopefully will get to do the trimming tomorrow and rearange a little too.

Rupey, how much CSM for micros do you add to your 75? I've been still having I think a bit of Fe deficiency and keep upping my CSM, but am thinking of starting Flourish Iron in addition to the CSM (25ml's every other day right now for my 75) as it still seems deficient.
