UG a little pale??

Hey, My little 4g tank with UG planted in it is looking pale green. I was growing emersed until yesterday and now its a little whitish looking. Maybe the water just brought out the color more.

Anyway, what could i do do make them a little healthier?? lack of nitrogen maybe?

How pale? UG is sort of a light spring green, depending on your lighting.
UG will also turn pale/white due to lack of light.

IME, UG isn't that dependent on ferts, but it appreciates high CO2.

Hey, I have two Ott-lite lamps on my tank. They are 13w each, and they are about a foot above the plants(substrate). Could that be the problem? I sure hope not. I dont think it would be.

if possible I would arrange them closer to the surface but no, it shouldn't be an issue.

It might just be the emersed growth melting off as it transitions to the submersed form, plenty of CO2 will help this process.
