CO2 bottle thread type


Does anyone know if the tread on American co2 bottles are the same thread as those that can be fund in the UK. IE if I buy a co2 bottle from America will I be able to fill it up in the UK

That's a really interesting question. And to tell the truth I don't know but I really doubt it since we operate on the English Foot/Pound system and England works on the Metric system.

Yes, but interestingly enough, a lot of plumbing dimensions here in Europe use inches!

Re the CO2 tank, the best is to get the exact designation of the thread and connection on the US tank and then ask your local refill supplier if that'll work.

USA & Canada use CGA-320 with a 0.825-14 NGO-Right Hand Thread. Countries outside the USA and Canada also use this fitting but you will have to check with your local gas company to see if your country complies with the CGA standard.
