algae infestation

Hi all,

I'm having a rather nasty algae infestation on my 2.5g betta nano, i have GSA on anubias leaves, and hair algae and something that looks like diatoms on the anubias, the crypt and on the driftwood. What can i do? should i relocate temporarily my oto catfish?

you're giving it too much light without giving it CO2 or nutrients. Clean off the algae and start dosing excel and nutrients and reduce your lights.
