yep, I go there all the time! nice selection of both fish and birds! they have some huge heckels there right now I have my eye on. Now if we could merge animal junlge with care-a-lot pets on Diamond Springs, that would be the ultimate petstore!

I used to sell Java moss to Animal Jungle, oh, 20 years ago. They were the best back then too. Java moss was the only plant I could grow then.

Unless you count algae.

I stopped by there today......WOW!!!! I wish I had one of those where I live. There had to have been 300 freshwater tanks alone. There were several species of fish that I had never seen before and they get in 3 to 4 huge restocking shipments per week. They have the least expensive Arrowanas I've ever seen. They also have a nice "Nemo" tank and a couple tanks of nice healthy sea horses.

Plant wise I must have stopped on the wrong day as the selection was kind of low and what was there looked like what was left after being picked through. Good pricing for a retail store though.

They had some pretty nice pond plants back in the greenhouse. The water hyacinth was in very good condition.

The kids thought that the ferrets were pretty cool too.

I stopped by today (Here on business). Definitely a nice setup. Got to see them feeding the sharks in the big saltwater "pond". They had some great looking freshwater rays in with arro's.

I was disappointed to find they don't carry much in the way of shrimp.

I also got to talking with one of them, and my recently prolific bristlenoses came up. Apparently they don't usually buy fish, etc., from customers but she thought the manager might be willing to give me some store credit. I didn't have the heart to tell her my lfs has already quoted me $3-6 each for 1.5" fish.

15 years ago I used to go to the Animal Jungle on Holland Rd./Independance Blvd.... was the best place! Wish they had one out here like that! (Charlottesville)! When I go back there to visit - I'm gonna havta make time to go see... didn't have time last time!

animal jungle is the best that i have been to so far. i love the place!!! wide variety of fish and plants and also other animals.

great store, I go every few weeks, you have to hit it at the right time, in my experience later in the week is better, they seem to restock things for the weekends. You hit it on the wrong day and like someone else said they have empty tanks that are usually full of plants. In my experience the best place I have found in the 757 area.
