Lava rock

I have some lava rock from Oregon and was wondering if I boil it would it be useable in my tank?

I guess I don't know. I just don't want to put anything in that will change PH or cause any other problems....

As far as i know there as several people using lava rock in their tanks. As long as it's boiled it should be fine.
