Welcome to TPT!

Well I don't live in Arizona, so it isn't common for me to be in this subforum, but I just wanted to say that you might find all the helpful information you need over in the Planted Nano subforum.

One advantage of not wanting to spend a fortune is that you won't be tempted to go with what ever is available today. You have to be pickier about what you put in the tank. Restraint and patience are the keys - in my opinion, particularly since I lack both at times - to a great looking tank. Mine tend to show my impatience.

Check out AAPE (Arizona Aquatic Plant Enthusiasts). They hold monthly meetings, the september one is tomorrow. They trade, buy, and sell plants/fish; as well as talk about the hobby.
