Planaria (?) Question

So I have some worms in my tank that may or may not be planaria, although I'm pretty sure they are because they look similar to many pictures online (tan/brown, about 1/4" long). I've been looking for treatments online, and it seems like dog dewormer is the best option at this point. My question is, in the event that these worms aren't planaria, will dog dewormer still kill the mystery worms?

It'll kill any problems in your shrimp tank, if they aren't dead after you dose it then they aren't problems.

If they're nematodes, (check the what's that parasite? thread sticky) they're good and don't hurt the tank. If they're actually planaria they're killing your shrimp and you don't want that, lol.

Ok, thanks. I think I'll just buy the dewormer and hope for the best

Whats the best one to buy without the risk of easily dosing too much? I have some in my shrimp tanks and don't want to accidenly kill all or any of my shrimps. What's the exact name of the meds I need to pick up?

Here is a website that sells it for a good price. Most pet stores should also sell SafeGuard dog dewormer which is also safe for use. Here is a website that describes the whole ordeal.
