I have a 75 gallon tank (4ft by 18in)...
I have the following substrate: A full 5 gallon bucket filled with 2mm of plain uncoated gravel 40 to 50lbs 3 bags of eco complete 3 bags of flourite **will this be enough to fill the tank? what order to I place the substrate in? do I mix the gravel and flourite together then put the eco complete on top? thanks |

The six bags of Eco and Flourite should be all you need for a 3" covering.
You can mix it if you want (depending on the look you want) but that's completely a eye-of-the-beholder thing. - Brad

so it would be ok to mix the eco and flourite together? will the eco eventually settle to the bottom?

Yup there both inert except for trace iron so they mix fine if you like that look. The time I did it the eco didn't completely settle to the bottom so it was a bit muddy (as in mixed together).
