2 pairs of 'breeding' gold rams in a 20 gallon long?

i've got a 20 gallon long tank with a bag of eco-complete under a bag of tahitian moon sand with 5 dwarf corys (habrosus), 3 ottos, and a pair of killies (australe). can i put in 2 pairs of gold rams? if not, how about one pair of gold rams? tank is planted, got some flat rocks that make a cave, a piece of driftwood which allows for some gap/bridge formations, and a large clump of java moss clinging onto the driftwood that sort of divide the tank in half. also have some melon swords, a bit of a red ludwigia forest, a mini eichornia diversifolia forest, some crypt plugs, and a marsilea crenata foreground. temp is kept at 78 deg. (F), water is soft, slightly acidic, and has been running for about 5 months now. 55w ge 9325 bulb with one hagen cannister/ladder, eheim 2213. dosing pmdd. gold rams?

I have two breeding pairs of blue rams in my 46g. They battle on a normal basis, and gobble up each other's fry. If you're looking to breed rams, having only one pair will increase your chances of success.

not really concerned about fry surviving. it's just that i'm eyeing 2 pairs of gold rams that are labelled as 'breeding pairs' on aquabid. what i am concerned about is the level of 'battle on a regular basis' in which they engage. and whether or not my pair of killies and the dwarf corys will be happy.

unirdna- do you have any other inhabitants in that 46g?

Yep. (besides the 4 rams)

1 Discus
8 Harlequin Rasboras
8 Cardinal Tetras
4 Ottos
10 Amano Shrimp
1 Wood Shrimp

When the rams are breeding, they become particularly aggressive. They will chase all fish away from their eggs/fry. When they are not breeding, they tend to only be a little nippy towards each other. I'v only had them tear each other up a couple times; and that was when their fry intermingled. When that happens, all hell breaks loose for about an hour, until one of the pairs fry all wind up eaten. The rams are continually collecting up their young and concentrating them. They do this with their mouths and can tell which fry are their own. If the fry is not theirs.....gulp.

IMO, a 20 long isn't big enough for more than one pair.
