Dueling Mini-Ms
Well, after a brief hiatus, Im back with a pair of Mini-Ms that are FINALLY getting setup. Just threw in some DHG just to fill it in. Its not what I really want plant wise and Im desperately looking for a few plants. Im looking for some eriocaulon mainly sp. japan or sulawesi. Im also looking for some local SSS CRS or golden bees for fauna. Still need to finish setting up the c02 system too.

Very plesanbt scape. It is sharp looking, clean and innovative! I like it. But I hope that Hair Grass won't grow too tall as if it stays as tall as it is now it can take a lot away from the feeling of this scape.
Otherewise I like the gear ( That stand is awesome!!! ) Did you make it?

The stand was custom made by Sapphire Aquatics. The dwarf hairgrass is DEF not the plant I want to use. I am actually sourcing my wanted plants as we speak. I just threw in the hairgrass just to have something in there because I was anxious to set up the tank. The final scape will be very minimal. I want the rock to stand out more than anything.

It'll be interesting to see when the plants you want get there, I think. The rock layout has potential.

1. Should I add something to the left rear to even out this scape? A rock? A centerpiece plant?
2. Im still debating on what to do with the second mini. Its either going to be saltwater or a micro paludarium. It is already fitted with a 70w MH so lighting is not an issue. What to do??? |

Hmm I like the micro paludarium idea!!! I think that having a salt water tank might be a bit Ironic to have next to a Freshwater planted tank. But that depends on how much you like Saltwater. If you go the micro paludarium route you can make it so they fit harmoniously together. From the forest to underwater. Then to the sea (if you have a stand that could hold 3 mini M's that is!
).

I love the rock. What sort of look are you going for with the plants?

I really like the layout and set up. Great stuff. Maybe add a small piece of wood on the left with moss for a tree look?
