HC Baby tears and Dwarf Hairgrass foreground?
Okay - I got some ideas for my foreground's aquascape.
Right now the front area of my aquarium consists of about 1.5" of fluorite, beneath it is ~2" play sand. I plan to plant HC Baby tears in front of a line of Dwarf Hairgrass ( i belive the latter will grow a yay bit taller if I keep up with trimming on the HC) Take a look at this plant. I am planning to divide the two species via a 2" vinyl stripe cutting right down onto the foreground area. I suppose that way either will send shoorters to the 'other side' of the underground divider (or at least they will have a hard time to do so. With this divider, I will also enjoy removing the fluorite behind the stripe (probably 3" deep into the back wall of the tank, where the background plants are) and replace with the playsand, as I learn that Dwarf hairgrass will do better with a finner substrate. What do you think? Or is play sand to packed down? Anybody has a good experience with HC on fluorite? Please comment on this plan! Thanks- Nam |
