I'm telling you that dog is nuts, ya throw a stick, he comes back with a log.

He also has a very bad habit of swimming out in the fast current and trying to go upstream, he must think of it as a treadmill or something.

His name is Bob Dog, a 105 pound AKC Lab. We got him from the Ames animal shelter a couple of years ago, he came from a puppy mill up North that was busted. His mother had eaten the rest of the litter, Bob picked me and he's been my constant companion ever since. My wife can't even hug me without him trying to push her away and he has a bad habit of laying between us and trying to push her out of bed.

He's a great trail dog too, even has his own pack.

That is a wonderful picture, caption, and story. I wish more folks would adopt dogs rather than buy. We have a terrible problem where I live of dogs that are strays and just breed uncontrollably. I feed a number of strays, unfortunately

Actually Bob Dog helped fill the hole my son left when he moved out, our house is a testament to recued animals, we also have five cats, all strays except for Louie. Louie's father was a bobcat, I wish I could find the pictures when he was younger, his ears really showed it, his tails a biy shorter than average as well, but he's our oldest cat, and not long for this world I fear. But then I get emotional when a fish dies so ...

I have never gotten emotional over the death of a fish.

Nice picture. But as I have said many times you really don't want driftwood. Driftwood by it's very nature floats. What you want is bog wood.

Driftwood becomes bog wood after you soak for a couple weeks. And bogwood floats after you bake it for a few hours.

Myself, I'm partial to root wood, that's where the truly interesting forms are.
