Stores in Inland Empire area?
Hi everyone!
First, I would like to say that I have just gotten into this hobby and am so excited to have found this community. There is so much information on this website. I'm really excited! I currently have a 10 gallon starter aquarium that contains Crinum thaianum (water onion), Pygmy Chain Sword and Anubias nana. I am looking to add more plants and have been looking at different "aquarium plant packages" available on various sites for a 10 gallon tank. These seem like good deals, but the shipping is expensive (obviously). I am thinking that it would be easier/cheaper just to go to a local store, but I do not really know where I can go to purchase healthy plants. I am also looking for Christmas Moss (it looks beautiful!) and am wondering if anyone can recommend places that I could purchase this moss. I am currently in Riverside, but would be willing to drive a little out of the way if need be. Any thoughts, input or advice? Thanks! -Rebecca |

Hi Rebecca... Just back into FW after a 20 year vacation. Not much local that I've found in the way of a LFS with plants. I've always tried to support the stores but they really only can stock what moves. So what you'll find is the same thing over and over again.

welcome rebecca! most local fish store dont carry nice healthy plants and when they do sometimes its a lil expensive. your best place to find nice healthy plants is from the swap n shop forum on here. you can pretty much find any plants you want and you know its going to be nice and healthy. shipping only runs about $6 so if you buy a lot its a great deal you save on shipping and most of the people here are kind and include extra's. im in the LA area so i dont know any fish stores in riverside..but good luck! and you will enjoy it here!
