Pleco compatibility

Does anyone know if you can keep a gold nugget pleco with a bristle-nosed pleco (ancistrus)???????????????I hant a clue.......... :hehe:

yes you could, they wont bother eachother, just remember the feeding requirements, if you go with a gold nugget you will need to feed thigns like cucumber zuccini spinache, bristlenose will eat some of that too but, they are more alage grazers...gold nuggets like to chomp on plants...

I agree my gold nugget had to be removed when I got plants. They have differnt needs but will be ok. Make sure you have a couple of good hiding spots or caves they love that also.

Gold nuggets also need animal protein in their diet. Will die without it. They won't eat algae except as babies. They are also very delicate. Make sure your tank is REALLY stable before you get one. Yep, they'll bother plants. Still, they are so gorgeous, I'm still debating getting one myself :P
