doesn't look like an amano- but the picture is pretty dark.
Do you have bamboo submerged in your tank? you should take it out and put it in a vase with a little gravel- it will only rot slowly in your tank.

Yup that is a really nice looking amano. Has a yellow stripe down the back? Two of my fully grown ones look the same with dark blue. I think they are the females since much larger than the rest. How about a coouple more of pics.

I know Amanos turn blue but not THAT blue...
The one in the image looks incredibly dark, the amanos that turn blue are usually still clearish. The one seen in the image looks so dark, I don't think you can even see through it!

Crazy shrimp, it looks great :-)

I've heard that what ever petco sells is actually aquatic heck thats how i got it submereged and had seen in that tanks for months too

Without a good picture and close up I can think of 6 possible shrimp it could be none rare.

More than likely it is a common amano just dark in color I have seen them in all different shades and darkness of tone.

I've seen Amanos come into my work at a LFS that were a pretty dark brownish or green. Never blue like that, but it probably has to do with your dark substrate

Five bucks says it's a ninja shrimp if it changed colors in your tank.

looks like it could also be dyed that color, I have purchased a similar one like that only to have the blue fade away to a dark brown
