Test Kits

I'm wondering if anyone out here has used the "AZOO" test kits, and if so, what is your opion on ease of use and interpretation of results. I recently bought some and am having a devil of a time deciding what its telling me.

I bought the Azoo mini test kit for plants. It tests Iron and theres another test for CO2. I liked the CO2 test but I didn't like the iron test much. Then again ,I haven't found an iron test that I like yet.
I wish they sold the CO2 kit seperately because it was way better than the kh/ph chart. It was similar to the lamottes kit for co2 but much cheaper.

They do have them seperately, go to " www.aquatico.com ". I liked the CO2 kit also, the Fe test wasn't even to bad... but the nitrates and phosphorous tests are next to impossible to read. Strange .... the ones you expect to fight actually work!

Yes I have, I bought a bunch of their test kits... 10 to be exact. They are prompt to deliver and good to talk to. I wish I had known this was a chinese product tho. I have always passed the tests for color blindness but those kits challenge my abilities to decipher them. I suppose it could depend on what light a person has in the room.... I'll have to try that once. For the most part the kits seem good I guess. Maybe I'll break down and buy a good Fe kit.

ridns, I live in Rockford too. Do you order your plants online or get them from the LFS's. I haven't found any real good plants, or at least deals, in town, ordered most of my plants or got them out of town. Do you have any suggestions? Or praises on local places...I do work at petsmart on the weekends, just to get the discount...so if you ever need anything let me know

I have ordered online, "www.fishvet.com", "www.petsolutions.com", "ArizonaAquaticGardens.com".
I guess fishvet treaed me best. I bought a couple plants at "PetSmart" when I first set up the tank but their selection is very limited and the prices aren't that good. Petland will get you what you want if they don't have it in stock but they aren't cheap. See Brian there.
