Yea Centereach is def a drive for you, at least 45 min. I read on another thread that Frank work's in Brooklyn and you can setup a meeting at that store. Brooklyn Aquarium I think? Shoot him and email and find out.

I remember last time I saw ADA soil Amazonia was in Aquarium Adventure. I went back there few weeks ago, I don't see it anymore!
BTW, I just orderd it online, but they only have ADA Amazonia II.

went to aquarium adventure today.
bamboo shrimp - 12.99
amanos 3.99 (they call it japanese shrimp)
red/white striped shrimp 19.99 (w-o-w)

Union Square Petco are sold out of bamboo shrimp. New shipment arrives on Weds.

Call the local Petco (for me), down by the OuterBridge and got them there. This is a new store, opened last year, located new to Home Depot. My first time there. Staff was helpful, it was clean and well stocked.

Hubby was waiting in the car didn't have time to really check it out. Much nicer than the Petland Discount on Amboy Rd in Pleasant Plains, which has steadily gone down hill since *Stacy* was transfered to the one in Hazlet, NJ.

This is in Staten Island. Don't know how many fellow Staten Islanders are TPT members. I will try to check out the major SI shops and report back.

Been there a bunch of times when my wife goes to Christmas tree shop. I've purchased guppys from there when they were $1 each

I remember seeing bamboo shrimps at the petco in brooklyn on Avenue Y a few days ago. The Q or B train takes you there. Interestingly enough, I saw a huge crayfish that looked like a vampire shrimp in the same tank. Not sure about pricing though.

Win Aquarium has threadfin rainbows for $2.50, and their usual cardinals for $1 and neons for $0.75. They also have a large stock of RCS for $1.50 each.

Pacific has endlers for $7.99. Insane price.

Edit: Almost forgot, Pacific had albino bristlenose plecos for $6.99 (I think).
