ZooRama Aquarium in the Bronx has some very nice, big pieces of Anubias "Petite" for $10 each. They are really nice-sized rhizomes - with at least 20 leaves, some with 40 or more.

"Big fish in little pond" should be aquastar's slogan.

if anyone is interested i saw what was labeled as a golden nugget pleco out near lindenhurst pet's warehouse. their selection was HUGE. i was pleasantly surprised while walking through there. They had a huge 3 foot white tipped shark I believe in one of their tanks.

I really wanted to buy the pleco but i have no tank space..

Dunno. It's ugly though...LOL. Never been a fan of silver arowanas. I much prefer the asian arowanas, and I'm suprised that being asian owned that aquastar doesn't keep asian arowanas instead.

i wager aquastar either doesnt have the market to either sell or cannot source Asian Arowanas reliably. They certainly dont have the adequate tank space for them.

My dad bought a small arowana for $40 bucks I think from kissena aquarium based on a sales pitch 行運一條龍 if you know what it means, but this thing grows fast.

I thought Asian arowanas were illegal to own in the states. Someone got caught trying to smuggle them in one time. Those things are gorgeous!

Not sure what the law states about asian arowanas but I know for sure that I have seen them at the Chinatown stores (won't name names incase...haha) every so often.
