Like kubalik said, fishtown allows you to pick your fish in the tank, never been to a store that disallow. I have been there several times with different guys working in the store. There is no point shopping in there if you are not allowed to pick your fish unless you are buying a neons.

Ok, now when we say picking, are we talking about netting our own fish or are looking into the container and then saying, " No I don't want that one, get me another one"

To clarify, I've never been allowed to pick up a net and get my own fish.

Not netting, I believe only Win does. I think Pacific do also as I saw someone net their fish before.

Win, pacific and aquastar let me net. but then again, i go there often...

Everything happens for a reason and it was definitely not a good idea to buy more fish yesterday. lol

also, I went to the Petland Discounts in Williamsburg today. It had some of the healthiest stock I've ever seen in a Petland. Worth a look, five blocks from the Flushing Ave station.

loads of otos at Pacific that arrived on Sunday, Win has about 15. All tiny.
