Stopped by Fishtown today with MeowKitty.
They didn't have amanos or pygmy cories but this is what they had: Otos: $1.79 2/$3.50 - very healthy, were eating algae discs in the tank Clown plecos: $6 2/$11.75 Neon Glo Tiger barbs: $9 Marble fan shrimp: $6 2/$11.50 Large albino tiger barbs: $3 3/$8.50 Baby neons tetras: 10/$7 Cardinal tetras: $1 20/$18 Red cherry shrimp: $3 3/$8.50 - Sakura grade, lots of berried females in the tank. In the same tank with some endlers. Also, the Petco $1 gallon sale ends tomorrow. The Petco at College Point still has plenty of 20L's available.

What is up with Aquastar? Are all the female bettas they sell TRUELY female? I mean, I bought a nice, healthy, active "female" after surveying their collection of female bettas. But now I'm starting to wonder whether this is an immature plakat male instead!??
It's belly isn't as big as most females. I'm still waiting for it to swim such that I can look for an ovipostor underneath it. |

Pacific has samurai gouramis, Sphaericthys vaillanti, for $12.99 each (no discount), & dwarf puffers for $5.99 each, 3 for $11.98. The gouramis look healthy, but since they're chocolate gouramis they should start dying like flies very soon.

Beautiful fish, Sphaericthys vaillanti. Last time I seen those was at New World Aquarium about 5 years ago. I don't think that they keep the ph low enough for those guys ( ph 3.5-6.5)

Albert, 86nLex petco has a whole panel of elephant ears...if you want to go see, ahem. Hefty $20 pricetag, but I saw a lot of diff colours. Nothing that caught my eye- cept this crazy blue/orange DTPK...got a pic too..
Saw a royal pleco at 14th st and I am in love.... talk about head with no body... but out of my budget at $35..was about 3.5 inches. Im glad I looked up em because they get too big for my tank. Was that the same one we saw in PetGoods? |
