Stopped by Petsmart today and picked up some Fenbendazole. They have nice dragonscale plakats. I then took the train down to Pacific. They have some nice giant plakats and neon blue rasboras - $6 3/$12. Walked over to Win and he had some nice "halfmoon" bettas. I picked one up, and I'll post a pic of him soon. Nice meeting up MeowKitty, aokashi, and Xev11 today. I guess you could say we had a mini-meetup.

I think they had albinos. I wasn't really paying attention though. Too busy staring at the bettas.

Went to the house of fins on Jamaica Ave (queens) today. I think i drove past the place twice before seeing it.

They had 3 Dragon scales $9.99 ea a dozen diamond bettas (pearl scaled) for $5.99, 3 Large bettas ($5.99) and lots of others ranging from $3.99 up to $5.99.

actually they have quite a selection. but i think i sorted out the type i want. kinda looks like this guy:

Wondering if Petsmart has something like him...

Ah. Nice looking betta. How were the bettas at Jamaica? I think the Petsmart all the way in Huntington had dragonscales with that color. When I purchased mine a while back from there, I saw some with similar looking colors (iridescent blue scales with red fins). Mine has similar colors as well. I'll see if I can take a pic of him later. The Petsmart in SoHo had dragons with orange, violet, and platinum coloration.

Their bettas were in surprisingly good shape. None of them seemed really skinny or juvenile and all had near perfect finnage. I would say at a glance, they would put the ones at petsmart on broadway (NOHO) to shame, well quality and price wise. i debated over 2 dragonscales but left with none because they both were pearl colored and not exactly what i was after.

OK Petco people.... Post up what you scored today at the 50% sale. Make us all JELLY

Yeah, the owner says he has a high turnover rate with the bettas. So he has new shipments every Monday. He takes care of all his bettas and he keeps some floaters in their containers to keep their water clean. He definitely takes more care of his bettas than the average Petco.

Yes I was at Win today (they took my kribs), no cories but they expect some (albinos and pandas) tomorrow.

Pacific had pandas, bronze and sterbai - none of them looking very good.

Does anyone know if there are any Pygmy Cories available at Petco in Union Square?
