Delving into pressurized CO2...

What is my best bet, on a budget mind you, to delve into pressurized CO2 for my 20gallon? (might upgrade to a bigger tank in awhile if that makes any difference)

How cheap can I get a fully automated c02 system, and what's needed/involved?

You can get kits which include everything... Basic kits will just increase the needed parts to get a manual setup going. If you want the CO2 supply turned off at night you'll need a kit with a soilnoid? valve which turns off the supply via a light timer. Then you an go all out and geta PH monitor which adjusts the CO2 supply per the PH reading. Int he UK these kits are typically 150 for a basic setup. You can normally get the refilled bottles from you local fish store. If you wich to get the parts yourself you'll need a CO2 bottle, regulator (preset pressure is easier than a manual one), CO2 tubing, some kind of reactor to diffuse the CO2 into your tank. www.jbl.de is a good start for these kits. This is what i have...

regulator, reactor, C02 tank. Thats all you need for a good inexpensive system.
