Sand OVER Aquasoil in tank?
I have a 3 Gallon JBJ Pocotope. I am still getting it ready and have some whysteria cycling it. I put in the aquasoil and am thinking it might look best with white sand over the soil. I can move the soil away from the edges so it doesnt have a LAYERED look to it but was wondering if it wouldnt look good on top of the soil. Anyone done this with good or bad results?

Smaller and heavier items sink to the bottom. Sand is both smaller and heavier than AS, so I would assume it will not want to stay on top for very long. Plus, once you get a bit of AS on top, you no longer are getting the look you want.
