Echinodorus bleheri- from 10 to 30
Hiya
I have a 15cm (6") tall Echinodorus bleheri (Amazon sword)My question is, how long will it take for the sword to reach a size of 30cm (12")? Thx for all the feedback beforehand. Last edited by dndafk; 01-08-2009 at 05:34 PM.. |

Welcome to the forum!
To your question: It all depends on the conditions you grow the plant in. If you have a lot of light, CO2 and fertilisers, you can have a much bigger plant (bigger than 30 cm high) in say, 1-2 months. If you have less of everthing, it can take many months. P.S. E. bleherae (note the spelling) has been synonymised with E. grisebachii (as well as E. amazonicus and E. parviflorus).

thx
I just have a nutrient rich substrate + tablets, liquid fertiliser and somewhere between 1.5 to 2 wpg of Juwel T5 (no co2), so I'm guessing it would take somewhere between 4 to 8 months. P.S. If the sword and a few bunches of cryptocorynes are the only plants in a 50 gallon that has little surface movement and a medium stocking density, would there be enough co2 for them? |
