Critique/comment my Aquascape
I need some help thinking about plant arrangements and whatnot...so feel free to say what you think
Btw these pictures were taken in the morning as opposed to night, so they may not be as vibrant as the other pics I take. ![]()

Looks like a jungle....
Maybe group 2-3 types on each side and have the middle somewhat open. Also any consideration for a foreground plant? HC or MM. |

By all means if you like it then don't cut it! I like to keep my swords trimmed. But if there is something in your tank that you like then try and enhance it. Maybe you could even try and give your sword more space by thinning out everything around it.....
A tank like yours will be trimmed many times over the lifespan of the scape. Cut out what you don't like keep what you do. After a while it will take shape.

Ok so I looked over some aquascaping principles, and I want the Sword to be the focal point, and I also want the tank to have the concave look (higher on the left and right sides and lower in the middle).
So I think I'll just let the Crypts on the right grow to as tall as they can, then possibly move the Sword over a tad bit to the right. Maybe I'll keep the Blyxa in the middle and keep it short EDIT: Wow, I used the 1:1,618 ratio for figuring out the focal point, and my Sword is just a couple inches off from that point

Ok so now I have some new resolutions.
How does this sound? Also, I'm considering putting some lava rock in the middle. Anyone have any opinions on this?

That Ozelot Sword is too pretty to cut.
I think your plan sounds okay. I personally prefer rocks on the sides, not in the middle. Off center would be okay. I think the best thing you could do for this tank would be to limit the number of species in it. With so many types of plants, things look a little haphazard.
