Setting up a co2 system

my buddy is trying to set up his pressurized co2 system for the first time. and i have no idea how to help him. but here's what he's asking

he has a needle valve, gauge, and cylinder.
pretty vague info im giving, hopefully someone can dig up a detailed guide on how to put the system together.
