extra red cherry shrimps anyone?
Anyone in Queens have any red cherry shrimps for trade? I have lots of flame moss or peacock moss. Not looking for a lot, maybe 10 is good enough. I had hundreds but I took them out to try my hands at the crystal red shrimps ( that didn't go well ) and now I just want to replenish my planted tank.
Now, as I look around stores in chinatown, i can't justify paying $1.00-$1.50 for a shrimp when cherry reds go for less than that here..heck, I even gave away shrimps for free in the past. Ok, thanks in advance. |

Wins Tropical on Mott St. between Grand and Broom St., Pacific on Delancy by Eldridge. Star on Mulberry St. near Broom St., and one on the corner of Broom and Mott.
I must say, there aren't much selection right now from any one of the stores, I'm guessing it's the slow season(I might be wrong). Anyways, I'll be doing my weekend grocery shopping in Chinatown tomorrow, and I'll post an update. To the O.P., by far the best luck I've had with cherries(price and quality) are from the sales and trade section of this forum.

I can still remember 2-3 years ago when the $1.50 Cherries at Win were considered cheap enough that you could actually buy them to turn a profit on Ebay. I know a few years have passed, but it still kinda amazes me how fast and low the prices have dropped on Cherries.

I stopped by Win trop last friday, his cherry stock is kinda low this time around. But when replenishes, that tank is very nice, and good selection. He normally gets more stock on sundays, hopefully in a week or so he'll have new stock. I think 1.50 is not that bad around here, when you factor in shipping and such. I happened to be in union square yesterday night, and they sell cherries for $4.99!!!! Now that's a rip off. |
