Hi, I am getting ready to start a 30 gall high tank. I think I want to have some plants to help fill the 24" hight. I have some undergravel filters which I am hearing is a know know for plants? Flora base says its OK with undergravels. anyhow is there any advise on the benifits of the two and which ones would be better in the long run. any help or other choices much appreciated.

I've heard people complain that flora base is an ugly color, and that it's too light...that new plants continually come uprooted until they can fully spread anchoring roots.
I personally like eco complete's look, it roots well, and the liquid it's packed in will help cycle your tank.
