New Fish!!!

I just got 10 ember tetras and a pair of apisto cacatuoides. They look really good. I'm excited. Just thought you should know.

I have a male and a female apisto. If they swim together all the time, does that mean they paired up already?

Absolutely. IMO Apisto. cacatouides are some of the easiest breeding apistos around. I have brought them home from the store on Sunday and had eggs by Monday when the lights come on.

Feed em good Fish. Bloodworms, brine, etc....they will reward you with a nice school of fry.

They've been eating bloodworms. That was really fast.

I find with Apistos that if they are a new pair, or new to breed (just recently became sexually mature) that they will sometimes eat their first clutch of eggs or so. Sometimes a few times until they get the parenting thing down. K, fully just got distracted here as the new Keith Urban single came on. Back to fish. I feed my A. Agassizzii (sp?) a mix of NLS cichlid, frozen bloodworms, live daphnia, frozen brineshrimp, frozen baby bbs and some flakes.

For the embers, get as many as you can without overstocking. A huge school of small brightly coloured fish is awesome and a sight that you have see to understand. I have 14 of them in my 20gl nature. They are wonderful little fish.
